upscale subdivision
planned for Sunny Hills
area

Deltona
Corporation got approval
for preliminary plat
approval in Sunny Hills
Unit 25, from the
Washington County
Planning Commission on
May 6th.
Represented by Engineer
Cliff Knauer, a parcel
of land 253 acres in
size located North of
Sunny Hills Boulevard is
planned to be the home
for 311 residential
units and 15 acres of
commercial businesses.
Just west
of the proposed
subdivision is Little
River Pond, and 98 of
the 253 acre parcel will
stay as
recreational/open space.
According
to Knauer, water and
sewer services will be
provided by Aqua
Utilities and the
electrical power system
will be underground.
Estimated
cost of the roadways and
storm water systems is
approximately $6 million
and Knauer stated that
the owner is ready to
proceed with
construction as soon as
possible.
Included
in the project will be
sidewalks
on one
side of each street and
most lots will be
around 85 feet x 120
feet in size.
Knauer
reported that DEP has
approved the storm water
design, with much of the
storm water to be
deposited in three Karst
formation areas.
No common
name has been assigned
to the development as
yet, according to
Knauer.
