Deltona Corporation got approval for preliminary plat approval in Sunny Hills Unit 25, from the Washington County Planning Commission on May 6th.

Represented by Engineer Cliff Knauer, a parcel of land 253 acres in size located North of Sunny Hills Boulevard is planned to be the home for 311 residential units and 15 acres of commercial businesses.

Just west of the proposed subdivision is Little River Pond, and 98 of the 253 acre parcel will stay as recreational/open space.

According to Knauer, water and sewer services will be provided by Aqua Utilities and the electrical power system will be underground.

Estimated cost of the roadways and storm water systems is approximately $6 million and Knauer stated that the owner is ready to proceed with construction as  soon as possible.

Included in the project will be sidewalks on one side of each street and most lots will be around  85 feet x 120 feet in size.

Knauer reported that DEP has approved the storm water design, with much of the storm water to be deposited in three Karst formation areas.

No common name has been assigned to the development as yet, according to Knauer.
