Bay County, Florida jobless rate drops in February Courtesy News Herald
   
 Bay County, Florida

Bay County’s unemployment rate fell to 4.4 percent in February, according to preliminary figures released Friday by the Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation.

That’s down from January, when the county’s unemployment rate was 5 percent. In February 2007, Bay County’s unemployment rate was 3.7 percent.

The February unemployment rates for surrounding counties were: Calhoun: 4 percent Franklin: 3.6 Gulf: 4.5 Holmes: 3.9 Jackson: 4.1 Walton: 3.5 Washington: 4.9
