Branson, Mo. is coming
to Dothan, Alabama.
The venue could include
multiple country
music-themed
entertainment venues,
resort hotels, themed
restaurants, a possible
theme park, an RV Park,
an entertainment venue
larger than the Dothan
Civic Center and a large
fairground area.
The proposed main
components of Country
Crossing include (1)
Mandolin Grove, a
10,000+ capacity
amphitheater to be used
for concerts (2) Little
Nashville, a compilation
of restaurants, shops,
dinner theaters and a
charity bingo center (3)
Blue Grass Hollow, an RV
Park (4) Three resort
hotels. Proposed names
are the Echo Canyon Inn,
Hawaiian Pear and
Nashville Grand and (5)
Themed venues including
Possum Holler, the
George Jones Dinner and
Theater Museum; Tracy
Lawrence BBQ and Opry
House; The Worley Bird
Cafe, a themed
restaurant and bar by
Darryl Worley; John
Anderson’s Steak House
and Lorrie Morgan’s
Cafe.
An unofficial economic
impact study states the
project could directly
create 1,866 jobs in the
first year of operation,
with another 1,121 jobs
created indirectly.
First-year revenue is
estimated $136,904,562;
with an annual payroll
of $74,511,625. By year
10, projections call for
total revenue of
$871,779,250 and about
4,800 jobs created.
